In 1973 a group of dedicated and passionate musicians submerged themselves in a Chicago basement to build modern guitars with a vibrant, vintage soul. This troupe, led by Jol Dantzig, became Hamer Guitars. Together they pioneered the "Modern Vintage" spirit and actually created the boutique guitar category. Today, Hamer Guitars is still a small, tightly-knit group of artisans committed to building instruments with undeniable character and flawless construction. The Sunburst Flatop Series is much like the Hamer Sunburst except for its flat top beveled edge around the body. Without question, these guitars play as good as they look. The SFX Series also features a Basswood body, Maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. Two humbucker pickups and a 3-way toggle switch give you all the sound combinations you'll need to play any gig.
