Frequently Asked Questions

Are your guitars marked used or second?
All of our guitars will be marked used or second. The majority will have a used stamp on the back of the headstock, but a few will have a second marking in the sound hole or on the back of the head stock. Even though our instruments have not been pre-owned we are not allowed to sell them as new. The marking on the back of the headstock is to prevent dishonest retailers from attempting to represent these instruments as new.

Do your guitars come with a warranty?
Our guitars do not come with the manufacturers warranty however they are all backed by the
Discount Guitar Warehouse 30 Day Guarantee

What is an overstock?
An overstock is a surplus item that a manufacturer currently has to many of. If they have produced an over abundance of a particular model they will sell some at discounts through various channels. Many of our instruments fall into this category.

What is a second?
A second is an item that for what ever reason did not pass the final factory inspection. Usually this is something simple, perhaps a tuning key had to be repaired, a pickup needed replaced or a scratch was simply buffed out. Any work done is performed by professional guitar technicians and luthiers. Each instrument is put through a rigorous 5 point inspection before being shipped to us. When they arrive here we re-inspect them a sixth time. Our guitars are always mechanically flawless and ready to play. If there are any cosmetic blemishes we will disclose them in the item description.
